Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 5 Kota Bengkulu, established in 1976 with the name of Preparatory High School for Development 61 (SMPP 61) Bengkulu City, is a state senior high school in Bengkulu, Indonesia. Now, SMAN 5 Bengkulu City was inaugurated through the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia to become State Senior High School (SMA) 5 Bengkulu City on April 16, 1997. The school has an “A” accreditation, reflecting its strong commitment to quality education. Its vision is to produce intelligent and competitive graduates capable of thriving in the global era. The school aims to integrate intellectual excellence with moral values and adaptability to current global demands

Projects and Activities

Initiatives like Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) aim to develop entrepreneurial and other essential life skills among students, aligning with Indonesia’s Kurikulum Merdeka. Another school-wide activity that I have witnessed is the Festival Bulan Bahasa Cendana Dan where select students cosplayed and portrayed some of Indonesia's heroes.
